State Counselor pays tribute to WWII Hero Bauyrzhan Momyshuly

State Counselor Erlan Karin laid flowers at the monument to Halyq Qaharmany (People's Hero of Kazakhstan), Hero of the Soviet Union, and writer Bauyrzhan Momyshuly in Astana on Victory Day, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the Akorda press service.

During the flower-laying ceremony, Karin noted that the feats of Kazakhstani heroes are forever enshrined in the people's memory.

It is worth noting that in accordance with the Head of State's instruction, announced at the Qurultay session in the Atyrau region, the Order of Aibyn (Order of Valor) classes were named after Sagadat Nurmagambetov, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, and Rakhimzhan Koshkarbayev in 2024.

Members of the Presidential Youth Policy Council also participated in the event.

On December 24, 2025, on the 115th anniversary of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly’s birth, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree conferring upon him the title of Halyq Qaharmany posthumously.

The example set by Bauyrzhan Momyshuly serves as a model for the younger generation of Kazakhstani citizens. His life is a benchmark of true constructive patriotism, honor, and service to the Motherland.

Earlier, President Tokayev extended Victory Day greetings to Kazakhstanis.
