'Sharing best practices in combating human trafficking' workshop supported by OSCE Center

ALMATY. June 20. KAZINFORM - Today in Almaty “Sharing best practices in combating human trafficking” seminar has started its work. It has been organized by the Committee of Criminal Police of Kazakhstan Internal Affairs with the support of the OSCE Centre in Astana, the International Organization for Migration and the US Embassy in Kazakhstan.

The purpose is to study of law enforcement practices of foreign countries in identifying and solving crimes related to illegal transplantation of organs and tissues, adoption for commercial purposes, export of people abroad for labor and sexual exploitation as well as to document the criminal acts carried out by means of Internet resources .

The seminar is attended by the representatives of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, regional units' staff on combating human trafficking of the Department of Internal Affairs and reps of the Center, under Karaganda police academy, training people to combat illegal migration and human trafficking.

Belarus, Moldova and Turkey law enforcement agencies representatives are invited to the seminar as experts.
