Seminar to focus on introduction of modern water management in the Balkhash area
ASTANA. KAZINFORM The training seminar on introduction of the modern water management in the Balkhash area will take place on June 25-26 in Almaty. The event is organized by the OSCE Centre in Astana, Balkhash-Alakol Water Basin Council and NGO Centre for Sustainable Development.
The main goal of the project is to increase the capacity of some 40 representatives of regional and local authorities, the business community and civil society in the framework of a regular meeting of the Balkhash-Alakol Water Basin Council, discuss the recently adopted State Water Resource Management Programme for 2014-2040, some changes in the current national legislation and national experts ways to introduce the modern water-resource saving technologies in the Balkhash-Alakol area, the OSCE Centre in Astana said.
