The event continued a series of off-site presentations organized in May in Omsk, Novosibirsk, and Yekaterinburg. The road show aims to strengthen cooperation between the two countries' tourism communities, expand business contacts, and boost tourist flows.

"Russia remains the primary market for inbound tourism to Astana — approximately 39% of all foreign visitors to the capital are tourists from Russia. Our capital is now one of the most dynamically developing cities in Central Asia. Astana is becoming an important regional hub between Europe and Asia, with convenient transport accessibility and a growing international route network," said Sayat Kussainov, Deputy Chairman of Astana Tourism Development Center.

Participants were presented with the tourism potential of Astana, including key areas of urban tourism development. Special attention was paid to the bleisure segment, which combines business travel and leisure, as well as medical, industrial, cultural and entertainment, wellness, and gastronomic tourism, shopping tours, and event tourism.

Russian partners were shown a calendar of major international events to be held in Astana in the near future. These include an exhibition dedicated to the legacy of Leonardo da Vinci, the Comic Con Astana 2026 international geek and pop culture festival, the Games of the Future 2026 multi-sport tournament, a concert by Enrique Iglesias, and the BaiQymyz national dish and kumis festival.

Moreover, participants learned about Astana's main attractions, tourism infrastructure development, and ready-made travel packages designed for the Russian market.

Representatives of the capital's tourism industry also gave presentations, followed by B2B meetings with Russian colleagues. The two sides discussed ways to deepen cooperation, launch joint projects, and expand partnerships in the tourism sector.

Qazinform News Agency reported earlier that foreign tourists were granted easier access to the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
