Ruslan Yessenalin elected Vice President of Kazakhstan’s Paralympic Committee

On June 15, Astana hosted a meeting of the General Assembly of the National Paralympic Committee of Kazakhstan, Qazinform News Agency reports.

The National Paralympic Committee summarized the preliminary results of the season, outlined plans for key events of 2026 and announced appointments.

Those attending the meeting were heads of sports federations, members of executive committees, coaches and athletes of national teams.

The main challenge for Kazakhstan’s paralympic team in this season will be the Asian Para Games, scheduled in Nagoya, Japan from October 18–24, 2026. Preparations are already in full swing, with the delegation aiming to compete for medals in 12 sports.

As part of reforms, members voted to update the leadership structure. Ruslan Yessenalin, Chairman of the Committee on Sports and Physical Culture at the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, was elected Vice President of the National Paralympic Committee of Kazakhstan and joined the Executive Committee.

Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan’s 60-year-old Paralympic champion Gabidullina won bronze at World Para Swimming Series in Paris.
