Quake hits southwest of Almaty

An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the MPV scale was recorded south of Almaty, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The epicenter of the quake was located in the territory of Tajikistan, 728 km southwest of Almaty city.
The quake hit at 7:12 am Almaty time.
