Qatar Airways restores 85% of its network
Qatar Airways Group has restored its global network to 85% of pre-crisis capacity and introduced two new executive positions as it prepares for its next phase of expansion, Qazinform News Agency cites the press service of Qatar’s flag carrier.
The recovery milestone coincides with the launch of the airline’s summer 2026 schedule, which includes more than 140 daily departures from Doha to over 160 destinations worldwide. The achievement fulfills a target set by the Group earlier this year amid regional disruptions that temporarily affected a significant portion of its operations.
As part of its growth strategy, Qatar Airways has created two senior leadership roles aimed at strengthening operational performance and enhancing customer-focused initiatives.
The airline said its next stage of development will be guided by three key priorities: delivering a world-class passenger experience across all customer touchpoints, expanding both passenger and cargo networks through fleet modernization and the rollout of the next generation of Qsuite, and investing in workforce development and future leadership capabilities.
Earlier, Qazinform reported Kazakhstan’s Air Astana is to resume flights to Dubai.
