Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held talks in a narrow format in Astana, Qazinform News Agency cites Akorda.
Your Excellency, Mr. President, my dear brother, I am very glad to see you in the capital of Kazakhstan. First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for accepting my invitation and visiting Kazakhstan on a state visit. It can be stated with confidence that your visit is of exceptional importance and is a historic event. Undoubtedly, your current visit will give a powerful impetus to cooperation between our two countries. Kazakhstan and Türkiye are bound by consistently friendly, fraternal relations and eternal partnership. There are no contradictions or disagreements between our states, stated the Kazakhstani leader.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted with satisfaction the agreements reached during last year's official visit to Türkiye.
The fifth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was held in Ankara, following which very important decisions were made. Today, the sixth meeting of the Council will take place, as well as a large-scale business forum. A representative delegation has arrived with you in Astana. I am convinced that your visit will be successful. Today, we are taking a big step toward a bright future for our mutual cooperation, said President Tokayev.
In turn, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan thanked his Kazakhstan counterpart for the warm welcome.
First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for the invitation to visit the land of my ancestors. You are showing us exceptional hospitality. The honor with which my delegation was met - from the moment we crossed the border into Kazakhstan's airspace and were escorted by jets - has brought us great joy. We certainly will not forget this. I am confident that today's visit will make a significant contribution to strengthening the unity of our brotherly nations, said Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
It is worth noting that President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Astana on Wednesday for a state visit to Kazakhstan.
