President Tokayev congratulates Kazakhstanis on Defender of Fatherland Day and Victory Day

President-Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated officers, soldiers, and guests during a ceremony awarding state honors and military ranks, on Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day, Qazinform News Agency learnt from the Akorda press service.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the continuity of Kazakhstan’s traditions of valor, honoring both current defenders and those who sacrificed their lives during WWII.

Addressing those gathered, he highlighted the unity and resilience of Kazakh ancestors in protecting the nation’s vast steppes, calling it a sacred legacy for future generations.

The President said the recent constitutional referendum held in March serves as an outstanding example, describing it as a historic choice driven by responsibility toward the younger generation.

He underscored that the new Constitution guarantees statehood and sovereignty, independence, citizens’ rights, and national unity, while prioritizing human capital, education, science, and innovation.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev concluded that Kazakhstan embarked on the path to building a Just, Strong, and Progressive State, guided by the principle of “Law and Order” and equal opportunities for all citizens.

Earlier, the Head of State decreed to award veteran of World War II Kenzhebay Madenov the Khalyk Kakharmany title.
