President Tokayev attends first major event under Year of Trade Jobs
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan attended the City of Trade Jobs festival held at the EXPO site with the support of the Kazakh Enlightenment Ministry and other relevant agencies, Akorda reports.
The first major event, held under the Trade Jobs Year declared by the President, brought together leading specialists, employers and vocational and technical education facilities.
The festival offers 40 interactive exhibition areas, familiarizing with over 200 specialties and characteristics of different sectors of the economy. The event is set to feature seminars, master classes, innovation workshops and job fairs. Over 15,000 people visited the festival in just two days.
President Tokayev got familiarized with the training of specialists in energy, mining, metallurgical, oil and gas, construction, agriculture and other sectors.
The Kazakh leader was briefed about the changes vocational and technical education facilities pursue to meet labor market demands with due regard to the peculiarities of each region.
According to Tokayev, qualified specialists are to be widely sought-after, as a number of major projects are to be carried out in Kazakhstan, including construction of a nuclear power plant.
To note, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had declared the year of 2025 the Year of Trade Jobs in his state-of-the-nation address to the people of Kazakhstan.
