Police prevent mass brawl between football fans in Almaty

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - At least 40 football fans have been detained by Almaty police on Sunday (September 28) at 5 p.m. on suspicion of trying to initiate a mass brawl, local police say.
On September 28, at around 5 p.m. the Almaty police prevented a mass fight between the football fans of FC Aktobe and FC Kairat in Abai Avenue. At least 40 people were detained and taken to the police station. According to reports, the fans rallied near the Almaty Central Stadium where Aktobe and Kairat football teams were set to play on Sunday.
