The two sides discussed the prospects for expanding bilateral relations and exchanged views on cooperation in multilateral formats, including in the context of NATO, SCO, CSTO, as well as the situation in Afghanistan, the press service of the MFA reported.

T. Siemoniak stressed the interest of the Polish side in the intensification of the defense and military-technical cooperation with Kazakhstan. Noting the usefulness of the meeting on the eve of his visit to Astana, he asked to convey his gratitude for the invitation to Kazakh Minister of Defense Adilbek Dzhaksybekov.

The Kazakh diplomat said that another promising area of bilateral relations was the exchange of experience in carrying out peacekeeping operations and training. Utembayev noted that a good basis for this is the positive experience of operational interaction between the military of the two countries within the framework of the mission of Kazakhstan's engineer unit within the Multinational Division under Polish command in Iraq in 2003-2008.

The Polish Minister invited representatives of Kazakhstan to monitor the largest military exercises in the country "Anaconda." In turn, Utembayev invited to consider participating in the military exercise "Steppe Eagle".
