Pavel Durov to award over USD106,500 to AI Olympiad winners in Kazakh capital
Telegram founder Pavel Durov congratulated the winners of the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2026), which concluded in Astana, Qazinform News Agency reports.
Russia’s national team took first place in the overall team standings, while Russia’s Artem Gorokhov won in individual events.
Kazakhstan’s Dauazhan Beketov secured the second-highest individual score.
The winners will receive 106,500 US dollars in total next week.
Notably, Pavel Durov announced the release of 214 Intelligence Cups for Olympiad champions.
The Olympiad took place from August 2 to August 8, 2026, bringing together around 500 participants, mentors, and jury members from 106 countries.
