Nursultan Nazarbayev: CSTO is to assist in strengthening security in the region

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM - The overall objective of the CSTO member-states is to contribute to strengthening security, ensuring peaceful and stable environment in our region, this has been stated by President Nursultan Nazarbayev at the session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
"We will discuss the situation in the CSTO zone of responsibility in order to develop collective measures to counter new threats and challenges. Our common task is to assist in strengthening security and ensuring peaceful and stable environment in our region," he said. He noted that "CSTO is open to constructive cooperation with other countries and international organizations".
