Nobel Memorial Prize Laureate in Economics lectured in Almaty University
ALMATY. May 20. KAZINFORM Sir James Alexander Mirrlees, Scottish economist and winner of the 1996 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences did lecturing at the Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University.
James Mirrlees does research in modern problems of the economy, tax issues and using of new technologies to solve them.
"It is known that Kazakhstan has managed to come out of a recession having no severe effects. By the way, the crisis arouses interest from the economic point of view. Properly, the European countries take a false step implementing scale plans on budget policy tightening and budget outcomes reducing," J. Mirrlees announced.
In addition, J. Mirrlees noted he studied Kazakhstan's experience and had some recommendations on the country's economy development.
