Nazarbayev voices idea of global antinuclear parliamentary assembly
ASTANA. August 29. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev suggests creating a global antinuclear parliamentary assembly.
President Nazarbayev voiced this idea at the From a Nuclear Test Ban to a Nuclear-Free World international conference on Wednesday (August 29) at the Palace of Independence in Astana.
"Parliamentarians from all countries of the world are present at the conference today. That is why this forum can be called a prototype of the global antinuclear parliamentary assembly. I suggest considering establishment of such an institute. At the same time I would like to attract attention of the participants to the G-Global initiative. I have no doubt that a nuclear-free world is an important component of the world order in the 21st century," N. Nazarbayev said.
