Nazarbayev: Kazakhstan enjoys partnership relations with France
ASTANA. May 21. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev received Total Executive Vice President Yves-Louis Darricarrere on Monday, the Presidential press service reported.
During the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that Kazakhstan and France established good partnership.
"We have established good relations with Nicolas Sarkozy. The presidential election has been recently held in France. Now we are ready to work with the new president. Kazakhstan has established strategic relationship with Total. You participate in many of our projects and we intend to develop our partnership," the Kazakh President said.
In turn Yves-Louis Darricarrere noted that the company intends to develop its activities in Kazakhstan.
"We are members of the consortium in the project "Kashagan". In addition, we will develop other projects. I look forward to working in the Kazakh-French Council," he said.
Since 1992, Total has been present in Kazakhstan with the company's 16.8% stake in the North Caspian permit, which includes the giant Kashagan field operated by the North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC).
