N. Nazarbayev opens new National Defense University

Nazarbayev has congratulated students, graduates and faculty of the National Defense University with the opening of the new building. He noted that the university should become a center for training military highly qualified professionals. Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that Kazakhstan's military educational institutions need to follow the example of foreign universities which prepare not just professionals but true leaders. Kazakh President charged to develop the concept of using the new building of the National Defense University. Visiting the new building of the National Defense University President viewed the center for monitoring learning processes, operational art department and the university library. At the end President Nursultan Nazarbayev wrote his name in the book of honorable guests. National Defense University is the only Central Asian higher military educational institution training military personnel for strategic, operational and strategic and tactical command levels for Masters and Doctoral programs.
