N.Nazarbayev invites his French counterpart to Kazakhstan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM Kazakh Foreign Minister Erlan Iddrisov is paying an official visit of to France, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry's press service said.
As part of his trip, Idrissov met with his French colleague Laurent Fabius, French President's advisor Jacques Audibert, and co-chair of the Kazakh-French business council, TotalUpstream President Ives Louis Charle J Darricarrere. The foreign ministers debated a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, shared views on urgent issues of the international agenda. The talks also focused on the visit of French President François Hollande to Kazakhstan to be paid at the close of 2014 at the invitation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The sides noted that this visit should be marked by new mutually beneficial agreements that will broaden, first of all, economic cooperation. Trade and economic cooperation is one of the key components of Kazakh-French strategic partnership. The sides also highlighted successful work of the Kazakh-French intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation and Kazakh business council that provide an opportunity to debate and solve vital economic issues. The ministers also focused on an opportunity to establish direct flights between Astana and Paris in an effort to give a serious impetus to Kazakh-French cooperation, development of tourism, promotion of business contacts and investments.
