Mudflow hazard to persist in Almaty

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Almaty authorities has warned that mudflow hazard is to persist in the local mountains.
Heavy precipitation and snow melting in the mountains of Almaty region may cause another mudslide on July 24-27. Locals and guests of Almaty city should avoid venturing out into those areas. "It is highly recommended to avoid mudflow prone areas in Almaty region," the authorities said in a statement.
