Servicing the citizens regardless of district of residence registration, or exterritoriality privilege is to be applied to public services that are most demanded by citizens. Currently, citizens in two cities may use the know-how when obtaining passport and ID card.
"Astana and Almaty citizens may right now apply for identity documents in any CSC in the city, whether they are registered residents of this district or not, and they do not need to submit residential address certificate. So, the exterritoriality principle not only facilitates obtainment of public services, but also reduces citizens' expenses", Vice Minister of Transport & Communications Saken Sarsenov remarked.
He also told that in future, the exterritoriality principle is to be applied to other most popular services and implemented in other cities. In addition, it will be possible to obtain public services not only in another district, but even in another city. This issue is currently being worked over with government agencies.
