Man tried to smuggle $40.000, detained in Almaty airport

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - In Almaty International Airport a man has been arrested for attempting to smuggle USD 40.000, according to the press service of the city Department of Customs control.
"March 25 at Almaty International Airport "Zhetysu" customs post officers repressed the illegal export of foreign currency. Customs control officer detained a citizen of Kazakhstan who had USD 40 thousand", the report says. Funds were not included in the declaration when crossing the border. Customs Supervision Department conducted a fact-finding investigation check.
