Maksim Sazhnev sets Kazakhstan U20 record, reaches World Championship final

Kazakhstan’s Maksim Sazhnev advanced to the final of the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA, after a record-breaking discus throw performance, Qazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee.

In the qualifications, he set a new Kazakhstan U20 national record with 61.37 meters.

He entered the final ranked 6th overall.

The final will take place on August 9.

Earlier, Kazakhstan claimed 6 medals at Asian U18 Athletics Championships.
