M4.5 quake strikes eastern Kashmir

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck eastern Kashmir on Friday, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS), Qazinform News Agency reports.

The earthquake occurred at 11:53 UTC on September 25, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Its epicenter was located at 34.843°N, 77.576°E, about 72 kilometers east of Thang, India.

Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported a magnitude 4.8 earthquake in Tajikistan on September 25.
