KZT bln tenge to be allocated for sowing and preparation for harvesting campaigns in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Sergei Plotnikov told about the correction of the national budget for 2015 in terms of financing of agriculture at the CCS media briefing today.

He noted that the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan would receive additionally KZT 20 bln despite the difficult economic situation in the world. In particular, KZT 11.5 bln tenge is allocated for development of cattle breeding and poultry industry. 5 bln tenge is allocated for financial recovery of agricultural producers and 3.5 bln tenge is allocated for purchasing of agricultural machinery and equipment.

"It was agriculture that ensured growth of the physical volume of the total output and the increase of money," S. Plotnikov noted.

The total amount of financing of spring-sowing and preparation for harvesting campaigns will make 97 bln tenge. KZT 28.5 bln will be allocated within the program on leasing of agricultural equipment. It is planned to provide 1610 units of agricultural machinery.

As earlier reported, at the enlarged sitting of the Government of Kazakhstan held on February 11, President Nursultan Nazarbayev gave instructions to prepare a package of anti-crisis measures with the optimization of expenditures of the national budget in 2015. Besides, the President noted that necessity of increasing the state support for the agro-industrial complex as one of the new anti-crisis measures added to "Nurly Zhol" Program.
