Kyrgyzstan to preside over Eurasian Economic Union in 2027

Kyrgyzstan will host the next Eurasian Economic Forum in 2027 as part of the country's chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union, Qazinform News Agency cites Kabar.

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov announced this on Friday at the meeting with the heads of government of the EAEU member states.

Zhaparov noted the importance of further developing cooperation within the EAEU and proposed expanding the forum's participation to include partner countries and international organizations.

The meeting took place as part of the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which is taking place in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region, with the participation of the heads of government of the EAEU countries.

Earlier today, Qazinform reported that six agreements were signed at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Kyrgyzstan.
