Kyrgyzstan and Russia approve Military Cooperation Plan for 2026

As part of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers, and the Committee of Security Council Secretaries of the CSTO member states, a bilateral meeting was held today between Major General Ruslan Mukambetov, Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Andrei Belousov, Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Kabar reports.

The parties discussed the current state and future directions of Kyrgyz-Russian defense cooperation, noted the positive dynamics of joint activities, and expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to military education, personnel training, and practical areas of cooperation of mutual interest. During the conversation, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to developing partnerships based on mutual respect and support.

Following the meeting, the heads of defense ministries approved a Military Cooperation Plan for 2026.

Earlier, Qazinform reported Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev took part in a joint meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of the Secretaries of Security Councils.
