Kazakhstan's National Anthem performed at Arc de Triomphe in Paris
The French military orchestra has performed the National Anthem of Kazakhstan at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris for the first time, Kazinform News Agency reports.
In memory of Kazakhstanis, who died in France during the World War II for the liberation of this country, a wreath-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame was held at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The National Flag of Kazakhstan was raised for the first time at the city's most prominent landmark, accompanied by Kazakh National Anthem.
The ceremony was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in collaboration with the Eternal Flame Committee. Flowers were laid by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to France, Gulssara Arystankulova, Mayor of the 8th arrondissement Jeanne d'Hauteserre and Deputy Mayor of the 17th arrondissement of Paris Aline Bessis.
Those attending the ceremony were the representatives of the France-Central Asia Friendship Group, parliamentarians, representatives of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and business comunity of France. Kazakh citizens living in France, representatives of the Kazakh diaspora and family members of the diplomats also came to pay tribute to the memory of their deceased ancestors.
Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan participated in the National Flag raising ceremony dedicated to the Republic Day.
