Kazakhstan wins 4 medals at U20 World Wrestling Championships in Slovakia
Kazakhstan wrapped up the U20 Wrestling World Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, with four medals, Qazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Kazybek Kalmagambetov claimed the team's only gold medal, winning the Greco-Roman −67 kg event.
Kazakhstan also claimed three medals in freestyle wrestling, with Bekassyl Assambek winning silver in the −61 kg category and Nurassyl Assambek (−57 kg), and Nurdaulet Seilbekov (−74 kg) taking bronze.
Overall, Kazakhstan finished the championships with one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.
Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Kazakhstan’s wrestlers led the team standings at the Grand Prix of Germany in Dortmund, winning 15 medals, including six golds.
