Kazakhstan to be 13th country to include sport of kings into UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists

ASTANA. May 17. KAZINFORM Today a meeting of National Commission of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO has held in Astana.
The event brought together Chair of the Kazakh National Commission for UNESCO and ISESCO Imangali Tasmagambetov, permanent representative of Kazakhstan under UNESCO Olzhas Suleimenov and other officials.
"This year, we intend to introduce new nominations to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists. Such work should be system," Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed informed.
"First,of all, "Nawruz" Holiday and falconry should be nominated. For example 12 countries have already included falconry in the UNESCO Lists. And Kazakhstan may fill only the 13th place," the Minister said.
