Kazakhstan's Begazy burial ground may be inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Begazy burial ground in Karaganda region may be included into the UNESCO World Heritage List. The burial ground located 300 km of Karaganda city was discovered by A.Margulan in the middle of the 20th century, Kazinform has learnt from 24.kz.
Restoration works began a decade ago. Area around the memorial complex was fenced at the expense of the local budget. Historians believe that the Begazy complex will gain huge popularity among tourists. They also insist that the phenomenon of Begazy-Dandybai culture is of paramount importance for Kazakhstan's history.
