Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates cement business partnership
ALMATY. June 4. KAZINFORM The Kazakhstan-UAE Business Forum has been held in Almaty today.
The business event took place within the framework of a visit of the business delegation from the emirate of Dubai.
It was noted that over 20 years of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates, the two countries had established solid economic cooperation. There are a lot of companies with the United Arab Emirates' capital in Kazakhstan and it covers the spheres of construction and real estate, finance and tourism, agroindustrial complex and energy, engineering and pharmaceuticals.
The event made it possible to cement the partnership between the two countries and expand its horizons.
Participants of From Dubai to Almaty Business Forum discussed a wide range of new investment projects, including the development of the Khorgos International Cross-Border Cooperation Center.
Kazakhstani businessmen also had bilateral meetings with the guests from the UAE and, as a result, signed mutually profitable agreements.
The sales turnover between Kazakhstan and the UAE made $165 million in 2012.
