Kazakhstan and Austria signed memo of cooperation on strengthening interethnic relations

ASTANA. August 29. KAZNFORM  Deputy Chairman of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan Yeraly Togzhanov and former President of Bulgaria Peter Stoyanov signed a memo of cooperation on strengthening of interaction in the field of interethnic relations between the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan and Center for Global Dialogue and Cooperation, Austria.

According to Togzhanov, the memo provides for cooperation in the cultural, education and scientific interaction, exchange of experience on realization of policy of interethnic interaction and strengthening of peace and tolerance.

"The structure chaired by P. Stoyanov is well-known in the world. It includes prominent politicians such as Bill Clinton and others, as well as large businesses. Today we are signing an agreement with them. Therefore, we are looking forward to fruitful cooperation," Tugzhanov said at the signing ceremony in Astana.

 "The initiative of Kazakhstan to abandon its nuclear arsenal makes President Nursultan Nazarbayev one of the most popular politicians in the world. I am impressed by the changes taking place in your country. This is really wonderful," the former president of Bulgaria said.
