Kazakhstan and Afghanistan express interest in commercial cooperaiton

ALMATY. September 26. KAZINFORM "For Kazakhstan, a key player in the Central Asian region, presence in the Afghan market opens up new opportunities for implementation of promising projects in the foreign trade sector," Vladimir Bozhko, Kazakhstan's Minister of Emergencies, told the 5th Kazakh-Afghan Intergovernmental Commission for Commercial and Economic Cooperation on Wednesday (September 26) in Almaty.

"Kazakhstani market and the opportunities it offers in various spheres of economy are of particular interest for Afghan entrepreneurs as well. The governments of the two countries are expected to sign the Treaty on the Encouragement and Reciprocal Protection of Investments within the session," V.Bozhko added.

Reps of the Kazakh ministries of foreign affairs, education and science, economic development and trade, industry and new technologies, agriculture, and large local companies took part in the session.

The session is set to be held until September 27.
