Kazakhstan and Afghanistan discuss bilateral coop issues
ASTANA. KAZINFORM Kazakh Majilis Speaker Kabibulla Dzhakupov met today with chief executive of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah, who arrived in Kazakhstan to attend the SCO Council of Heads of Government, in Astana. The sides discussed promising directions of bilateral cooperation between the countries.
The Kazakh Speaker highlighted Kazakhstan's adherence and foreign policy of the Head of State aimed at strengthening regional and global security and voiced the country's support for Afghan Government's efforts to ensure stability in the country and raise people's welfare, the Chamber's press service said. The parties paid attention to humanitarian aid rendered to Afghanistan on the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan, and the country's participation in realization of industrial projects in the territory of Afghanistan. Besides, the sides spoke for broadening bilateral relations, including inter-parliamentary cooperation.
