Kazakh MPs participate in 10th Conference of PUIC
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - A delegation of Kazakhstani parliamentarians headed by Vice Senate Speaker Askar Beisenbayev is in Istanbul to participate in the 10th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC).
The PUIC conference is dedicated to the answers to the threats of the 21st century: establishment of global peace, justice, stability and security. According to the Senate's press service, Kazakhstani lawmakers already met with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cemil Çiçek on the sidelines of the conference to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation. Having stressed the importance of strategic partnership with Turkey, Mr. Beisenbayev praised dynamic development of Kazakhstani-Turkish cooperation in many sectors. Utmost attention was paid to the Kazakhstan-Turkey Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups that, according to him, have huge untapped potential. Senator Turlashov and Majilis deputies Ibrayev and Akhmadiyev attended the meeting as well.
