Kazakh Majilis Speaker partakes in CSTO PA in Saint Petersburg
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Majilis Speaker Kabibulla Dzhakupov took part in a session of the Council of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Saint Petersburg on April 16, the press service of the chamber informs.
Participants of the session debated pressing issues of ensuring security in the CIS space, Tajikistan's chairmanship in the CSTO in 2015 and other problems. The same day Mr. Dzhakupov met with his counterpart Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich. Having congratulated the Belarusian parliamentarian on being elected the Chairman, Kabibulla Dzhakupov commended trust-based and open character of political dialogue established between Kazakhstan and Belarus and the importance of strengthening commercial and economic cooperation. The sides agreed to step up interaction between parliamentarians of the two countries.
