Kazakh firm expands e‑scooter fleet in Brazil to 200,000

A Kazakh kick-sharing company plans to expand its fleet of electric scooters in Brazilian cities to 200,000 units. Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira announced it at the Business Forum in Astana, Qazinform News Agency reports.

Vieira noted that Kazakh firms are already operating in Brazil, including in the field of digital technologies and urban mobility.

"Jet scooters are already operating in the Brazilian capital and several other cities, reshaping urban mobility. I have reviewed the company's figures and forecasts - Jet plans to expand its fleet of scooters in Brazil to 200,000 units. This is a very significant figure," the Brazilian Foreign Minister noted.

He emphasized that the activities of Kazakh companies in Brazil demonstrate Kazakhstan's leadership in digital technologies and innovative services.

As reported before, Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira arrived in Astana on an official visit and held talks with his Kazakh counterpart Yermek Kosherbayev.

Minister Kosherbayev announced that Kazakhstan and Brazil intend to increase trade turnover to $1 billion.

Kazakh and Brazilian companies are also discussing the launch of new agricultural projects, including the cultivation of organic soybeans in the steppes of Central Asia.
