Kazakh Defence Ministry & OSCE - for qualitative reduction of armaments
ASTANA. November 21. KAZINFORM - Almaty hosted a regional conference "Quality management and information to reduce the risk of explosive equipment and response" organized by the Centre for the control of arms reductions and provision the inspection activity of the Kazakh Ministry of Defense in partnership with the OSCE Centre in Astana and in Tajikistan, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Kazakhstan reports.
The conference is the contribution of the Ministry of Defense in achieving objectives of the politico-military dimension of the OSCE on confidence building and regional security.
Military inspectors read series of lectures on political-military dimension of the OSCE, problems of the risks of explosive equipment, quality management, reduction of risks of explosive equipment and response, disposal of unexploded objects and humanitarian demining, security and storage management of engineering and other ammunition.
The conference brought together military and diplomatic representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Mongolia as well as service members of the Defence Ministry and the General Staff of Kazakhstan who exchanged views on improving mine defence within OSCE area.
