Kazakh businesses to export goods to UAE on preferential terms

The Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament has ratified the Agreement on Economic Partnership between the Eurasian Economic Union Member-Countries and the United Arab Emirates, Qazinform News Agency reports.

According to Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev, the document was signed on June 27, 2025, in Minsk, Belarus, during the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

The Agreement envisages elimination of import tax duties on more than 85% of commodity nomenclature. 

The document, he said, also covers such aspects as technical barriers to trade, sanitary and phitosanitary measures, customs cooperation, domestic market protection measures, and others.

The elimination of customs duties will be carried out gradually over transitional periods to ensure the phased liberalization of bilateral trade.

Overall, the agreement will create favorable conditions for promoting goods produced by Kazakh businesses and manufacturers in the UAE market, while also increasing the volume and paces of trade between the two countries.
