Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to hold talks with EU leaders in Brussels
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay an official visit to Brussels on June 22-23 at the invitation of European Council President António Costa, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the Akorda press service.
During the visit, the head of state is scheduled to hold talks with European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
The sides will discuss prospects for further strengthening the enhanced partnership and cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union, as well as current issues on the bilateral and international agenda.
Tokayev's program also includes a meeting with Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever.
In addition, the Kazakh president will address the Kazakhstan-European Union roundtable, which will bring together executives of major European companies. The event is expected to focus on investment cooperation, trade development and the implementation of joint projects.
Tokayev is also set to hold a number of bilateral meetings during his stay in Brussels.
Earlier, Qazinform reported Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had met with Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Akorda presidential palace.
