Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposes Olzhas Bektenov as Kazakh PM

The plenary session of the Majilis, the lower chamber of the Kazakh Parliament, with the participation of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has kicked off in Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports.
In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the PResident nominated a candidacy for the post of the Kazakh Prime Minister.
Earlier Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held consultations with heads of factions of the political parties constituting the lower chamber of the Kazakh Parliament regarding Olzhas Bektenov’s candidacy for the post of the new Kazakh Prime Minister.
