Kassym-Jomart Tokayev greets Emmanuel Macron in Akorda
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has greeted President of France Emmanuel Macron in the Akorda residence, Kazinform News Agency reports.
By tradition, the Guard of Honour was lined up to meet the high guest at the ceremonial hall.
The Presidential Orchestra performed the two countries’ national anthems.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Emmanuel Macron walked along the carpet to the National Flag of Kazakhstan, after which the two leaders left for a closed-door meeting.
In November 2022, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid an official visit to France at the invitation of his French counterpart. During the visit, the Kazakh and French leaders held talks on strengthening the trade-economic relations and discussed the topical issues of the Central Asian and international agendas.
Kassym-Jomart also held a number of meetings with the representatives of business community of France touching upon the prospects for implementation of joint projects in various spheres, including energy and transport.
