ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Today at Almaty Conference on G-Global, the Chairman of the Kazakh Senate Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has put forward ten theses required for safe humanity development.
"The first point requires the correction of the priorities in the economic activity. The second and the most important issue of the new paradigm of sustainable development is the reassessment of the environmental factor. Preservation and reproduction of environment is the prerequisite for sustainable development of civilization. The third thesis is the human capital. In this regard, of particular importance are the United Nations' 'Millennium Development Goals'. The fourth thesis should include measures to bridge the gap between rich and poor, to fight corruption by leveling social inequalities on a global scale. The fifth thesis requires special attention to developing and poor countries making efforts to enter the path of sustainable development," said K.Tokayev. He noted that the sixth thesis should reflect the principles of cultural polycentricity. Seventh thesis requires rethinking the paradigm of all-out competition. Eighth one should include the establishment of the world order based on the current security threats. The ninth thesis is how to deal with terrorism and extremism and prevent the threat of civilizational fault, reduce the potential for conflict of world politics. Finally, the tenth thesis requires political stability through democracy. However it cannot be imposed from the outside as historical experience and cultural traditions of a county should be taken into account, concluded the Chairman of the Senate.
