Japan's landslide strands some 400 people

A landslide in Azumino, Nagano Prefecture on Saturday night has left around 390 people stranded, according to local police, Qazinform News Agency cites Kyodo.
No injuries were reported. Authorities confirmed that hotel guests and hikers at Nakabusa Onsen are safe.
The landslide swept away a bridge, cutting off the only road to the hot spring resort.
Heavy rainfall in the region triggered the landslide, the Japan Meteorological Agency reported.
Those affected include tourists staying at hotels and hikers lodged in mountain huts.
