According to Counterpoint Research, the iPhone 17 series secured the top three positions, with the Pro Max and Pro variants following the base model. Analysts attribute the strong performance to upgrades in storage, camera quality, and display, helping the device appeal to a wider range of users across key markets.

Samsung dominated the list in terms of volume, with five models from its Galaxy A series entering the global top 10. The Samsung Galaxy A07 4G emerged as the best-selling Android device, particularly in regions such as the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, supported by long-term software updates.

Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra narrowly missed the top 10 but recorded stronger early sales compared to its predecessor. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Redmi A5 ranked tenth, maintaining demand in emerging markets.

The top 10 models accounted for 25% of global smartphone sales, the highest share ever recorded for a first quarter, reflecting a growing focus on fewer, high-performing devices amid broader market pressures.

Earlier, Qazinform reported that starting September 1, John Ternus will take over as Chief Executive Officer of Apple, replacing Tim Cook.
