Imangali Tasmagambetov: personal list on cultural heritage objects - Kazakhstan's must-have
ASTANA. May 17. KAZINFORM Chair of the Kazakh National Commission for UNESCO and ISESCO Imangali Tasmagambetov has held a meeting of National Commission of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO today in Astana.
"The essence of our work is to include a certain number of objects of cultural heritage in the UNESCO List, but the fact that we had such a personal list and we could nominate objects to the UNESCO List gradually . It is first necessary to ourselves, our posterity, " I.Tasmagambetov said.
However, Chair of the Kazakh National Commission for UNESCO and ISESCO set a number of goals for 2013, among them - an international forum dedicated to the official launch of the International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures, which will be attended by the heads of the UN and UNESCO, prominent politicians, scientists and cultural figures.
According to him, another priority of the National Commission in the current year is the organization of Great Silk Road International Forum in Almaty, timed to coincide with the official launch at UNESCO the world's first comprehensive web portal on the Silk Road.
