‘Higher Education in China’ exhibition opened in Almaty
ALMATY. KAZINFORM - ‘Higher Education in China' exhibition has opened in the city of Almaty.
The event was attended by representatives of more than 17 institutions of higher education of China.
"China has always attached special importance to education. China has more than 2800 colleges and universities. The number of students is more than 33 million", said Acting Consul General of China Deng Shanlin.
According to him, the cultural exchange between Kazakhstan and China should be strengthened. Therefore, China has opened four Confucius institutes in Kazakhstan to promote the study of Chinese language and the culture of China.
"The number of Kazakh students studying in China reaches 10 thousand people", said D.Shanlin.
According to the first vice-rector of KazNU Mukhambetkali Burkitbayev, the university cooperates with leading universities of China.
