Heavy rainfall to pound Almaty today

ALMATY. KAZINFORM Heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail, and high wind gusting 15-20 m/s are expected to batter the city of Almaty today, August 28, Kazinform reports.
Based on weather warnings the city emergency situations department urges to avoid trips to the mountains as landslide hazards remain in effect.
