The visit of Parliamentary State Secretary Stefan Rouenhoff is scheduled for June 15-16.

Katherina Reiche will arrive in Astana on June 29-30.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, meetings with the country’s leadership and representatives of relevant government agencies are planned during the visits.

“The sides will focus on the issues related to the further development of Kazakh-German trade, economic, and investment cooperation. The parties plan to discuss collaboration in the energy and raw materials sectors, the expansion of industrial cooperation, and the implementation of joint projects, including in the field of critical minerals,” Zhetybayev said at a briefing.

He noted that the upcoming visits are viewed as an important stage in the development of bilateral relations and are expected to provide additional impetus to the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Germany.

In April, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser, the chair of the Board of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy and chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of CLAAS Group, to discuss prospects for further strengthening Kazakh-German economic cooperation.
